A jacket lapel is the perfect place for a cool boutonniere. After all the hooplah over wedding bouquets, the guys deserve flowers that make a statement and follow theme. A vest or even suspenders can be dressed up with the right size and style of boutonniere. Don’t let the guy’s flowers be an afterthought… request something stylin’ and complimentary to the bouquets. That being said, I am just not a fan of “accommodating a boutonniere”; ie. pinning a flower to a shirt front, creating an awkward pucker. If there is not a proper place for a “buttonhole”, my advice shifts to “forget it and save the cash” for a little something extra, elsewhere.
