“The flowers appear on the earth; the time of the singing of birds is come”… (Solomon’s Song)
tis true – daffodils, hyacinth and tulips color the ground. Lily of the Valley, iris and more bulbs are waking up and ready to stretch up towards the sun. My planting has shifted this year to provide even more herbs and succulents for wedding designs. I’ll always have beds of cutting flowers if only for me, the bees and hummingbirds! I also hope it is a better year for our hops (last year was a sorry one) as I’ve booked another “hops & lavender” event at a local farm. Whatever your style or theme, my hope is that you keep it fun. Don’t feel pressured to spend beautiful weekends inside convention center wedding shows; treat yourself to a hike through the foothills and local gardens for inspiration. Happy Spring & Plan it for the Planet!
